I'm hunting down a physical modelling synth. Have been using NI Prism for a while and enjoy it but find it quite confusing and relatively CPU unfriendly. I demoed Plasmonic and also found it a bit gruelling and it also caused CPU issues. My system managed it okay but i know i couldn't use more than a few instances. But liked the sound. The cost, not so much...
Mainly wanting to make metallic timbred, platey sound/atmospheres or some sort of mallet stuff.
I'm hoping some folks here may have some suggestions for physical modelling that is simpler, and not too draining on system resources. . .
Thanks in advance.
