I was wondering how popular this request might be, probably not very! But no harm asking eh?! ![:D]( "Very Happy")
The idea is that wherever the mouse cursor is, you can assign any midi controller to act like the scroll wheel for adjusting whatever is under the cursor. And if you're assigning a clickable encoder, maybe even have that act as a left mouse button click. This would enable clicking on menus and buttons within plugins.
Novation's nocturn had this ability and it was and still is so much easier and quicker than assigning knobs to everything. You can't have a knob for everything so this would be a workflow enhancement too.
I understand that some things still are better having dedicated knobs, like cutoff or amp env controls, but for speed and lesser used controls this would be excellent.
