Am i the only one no longer excited for new Synths...hold on put your pitch forks away and let me explain.
When ever a new Synth dropped i use to get the feeling of a kid getting a new toy to play with, but now I'm noticing that some of these toys are just the same one i already had but with one extra LFO or built in Fx then repainted. you can argue the algorithm is different but the usage stays the same for me at least.
I did a deep dive in the analog/digital hardware synth realm and i found a couple innovative synths that would have been great to try and emulate feature wise but everybody wants to make a Moog over and over again it's getting to the point where I'm not interested in adding anything new to my setup. because there's nothing new and exciting to add anymore maybe I'm just old now and the new toys are for the next Gen who are the target and I'm no longer the demographic DEV's are aiming for to get an idea i have been making music since 1997 has anyone else come to this conclusion or am i off the mark.
