I'm expecting pianoteq to go on sale in August, and I've been planning to get the standard edition, which lets you pick 3 instrument packs. So far, I'm planning on picking the Steinway D pack, the U4 upright pack, but I'm stuck for what to pick for a third. I have a grand, an upright. What other option would be good? Would the steinway B be a good choice? That means I would have a concert grand, a classic grand, and an upright. Or could there be a better option? I'm not really interested in the non-piano instruments (apart from the free ones), and I'm not really interested in the electronic ones, either, because I don't see pianoteq recommended very often as a rhodes/wurly VST, so I'm assuming there's better options, (but I see it recommended a lot for regular acoustic piano sounds.)
I'm also not very interested in the historical packs. They seem really cool, but they aren't a priority for me, especially since there's already some free historical instruments with it.
I've given all of the sounds a try for myself, but I just really don't know what to pick. I just want a versatile selection of acoustic piano sounds. As versatile as you can get with 3 of the packs.
