Hi, I am not sure how to describe what I am trying to do, but here goes. In ableton, when I had a 16 pad akai midi controller, i was able to select a bank in the drum rack and the corresponding pad would play whatever was loaded on that specific bank's pad. It would override the midi note numbers. I think this capability was specific to that controller (MPD218) and probably some other drum type controllers.
Now i have an LPK25, a simple 25 key controller with no knobs, just keys. I don't think it would work for this controller, and it doesn't work on Bitwig's drum machine. It adheres to the midi numbers no matter what bank (or set of drumpads) would be selected. so if i select the top bank and play c3, it would still play the bank where c3 is located according to the midi note number.
so my question is, is there a way i could override the note numbers on the keyboard? i just think it would be easier to click the bank and play rather than clicking the octave button over and over.
i hope this makes sense
thanks!
