Blue Cat Audio • Blue Cat Connector timing issue within single DAW

Hello,

I'm evaluating the demo version of Connector - running the VST3 plugin in the latest stable build of FL Studio [24.1.1.4285] on Windows 11.

I have set up a feedback loop within a single instance of FL Studio, but I noticed that the feedbacked signal drifts out of time immediately. At a project sample rate of 44.1 kHz, I measured about 192 samples of drift added to every echo. At 96 kHz, I measured about 256 samples added to every echo. I measured this by running a simple sine wave note through the Connector feedback loop (with a stock FL delay plugin in the signal path), running a click through the same FL delay plugin (without Connector being involved), and measuring the difference in timing.

I attached a screenshot of my BC Connector plugin windows; a screenshot of the rendered test audio showing the impulse and sine note becoming more out-of-sync over time; and a ZIP containing an MP3 of the test audio.

Is there anything I can do to get the Connector feedback loop perfectly in time, or is this a hard limitation that I will have to work around?

Thank you!
