Hello fellow musicians,
I'm looking for a bit of inspiration to get over some analysis paralysis. I've been sitting on an original named Sunflower for over a decade at this point(!). Most of it was tracked ~5 years ago except for the vocals that I tracked yesterday lol. In fact, it's the vocals that have been causing my pain, specifically the chorus which is the last section of the partial demo linked below. It has gone through several lyric and melody changes and production quality changes throughout the years and I'm looking to finally make a decision and move on by releasing it this year.
My ask for this thread/topic is for feedback as a listener to assess the chorus, here are some questions to help, but feel free to suggest your own changes etc:
* Do the vocals match the songs style? Are they too aggressive?
* Is the mono to stereo vocals in the chorus distracting?
* Should the instrumentation in the chorus change (add or subtract?) at all?
* Does the melody fit in context to the rest of the song? Are there any gaps in the vocal lines?
