I've tried for LITERALLY YEARS to install purchased additional sound banks into ANY instrument, and I just can not figure out how to do it. I've literally spent hours and days, over the course of YEARS attempting this, and... it just NEVER EVER WORKS!
Because of this, I stopped buying soundbanks/presets years ago that do not come with an installer. Trying to install them manually and figure out where to put them, how to put them, what they should be named, how you get the instrument to recognize them etc., just confounds me no end. And... no matter what I do, no matter how long and how hard I try, and for how many years, I can NEVER get them to work.
What are the magic tricks involved in getting this to work?
I happen to be reinstalling everything on a new drive, and I'd REALLY LIKE to install an additional sound bank that I purchased for Imagelines Sawer YEARS AGO. I've NEVER been able to get it to load. I even asked them for help years ago, when I bought it, and even following what they told me, as best I could understand it, it still didn't work. They NEVER show up in the instrument. Sometimes I can see the folder in the instrument browser, but... there's nothing there.
I get SO.... frustrated trying ALL KINDS of folder copying, and folder creating, and file extracting and searching under EVERY menu in the instrument for a load feature, trying to stick things in this this folder, trying to stick things in that folder... etc.
It's just never ending and NOTHING that I do, EVER works, so I always just give up and don't install ANY of my sound banks that require manual install, on ANY instrument that I have some for. It's always been soundbanks/presets that come with an installer or I can't even consider them.
I need someone to walk me through this like I'm five years old. I'd love to learn how to do this once and for all before I'm ready for an old age home.
It will be one of the greatest accomplishments of life over a years long battle, where I ALWAYS lose. All of the stuff you have to do and learn to make music on computers and NONE of them have ever conquered me like this. Manually loading additional sounds/presets into instruments has proven itself to be THE MOST difficult aspect of it.
