Hi!
I'm a new Ableton Live 11 Suite user, and i'm having issues with Follow Actions.
This is the situation: i use Ableton to launch backing tracks during live gigs with my band. I have it set up so that every song corresponds to a scene.
Sometimes, we want to launch the next song automatically once the previous one ends, which is why i've set up Follow Actions on Next for each scene (song).
The issue i'm having is that if we launch a scene that has Follow Actions active, and then move ahead in the song (by scrolling the Arrangement Position), the Follow Action always triggers after having scrolled approximately 4 measures.
This happens regardless of the Action Time set for the Follow Action: it happens in the same way across any scene that has a Follow Action set up and active, each with its own Action Time.
This can make it very cumbersome to, for example:
1) Modify the Action Time with precision
If we want to give different Action Times a try, we always have to reharse the full lenght of the song, as scrolling ahead, to only try the last parts, closest to the Action Time, in order to fine-tune it, is impossible, as the Follow Action triggers prematurely.
2) Reharse any song by starting from the middle
Sometimes we only want to reharse a chorus, or any other specific part of the song, but this can't be done if Follow Actions are active, as scrolling ahead triggers the Follow Action. This can be solved by disabling the Follow Actions, but then we can't properly reharse any song that is supposed to have a Follow Action at the end by starting from the middle.
Other than this, the Follow Actions function precisely as intended: if i activate them, launch a scene, and wait for the Action Time to occur, the next scene plays, without fail.
Thanks in advance to anyone that has any advice!
